The Ichimoku Kinko Hyo (Ichimoku Cloud) is a comprehensive technical analysis system developed by Japanese journalist Goichi Hosoda. This Expert Advisor implements the complete Ichimoku system to identify trends and generate high-probability trading signals.

Understanding the Ichimoku Cloud

The Ichimoku Cloud consists of five components:

1. Tenkan-sen (Conversion Line): (Highest High + Lowest Low) / 2 over the past 9 periods
2. Kijun-sen (Base Line): (Highest High + Lowest Low) / 2 over the past 26 periods
3. Senkou Span A (Leading Span A): (Tenkan-sen + Kijun-sen) / 2, plotted 26 periods ahead
4. Senkou Span B (Leading Span B): (Highest High + Lowest Low) / 2 over the past 52 periods, plotted 26 periods ahead
5. Chikou Span (Lagging Span): Current closing price, plotted 26 periods back

The area between Senkou Span A and B forms the “Kumo” (Cloud), which represents potential support and resistance zones.
